Native Plant Gardens, Then, Now and the Future

On Thursday, April 24th, 2025, at 6:30 pm at the Tarrytown’s Warner Library, 121 N. Broadway, the Little Gardens of Tarrytown will host a presentation by Barbara Fischer entitled “Native Plant Gardens, Then, Now and the Future”.

Ms. Fischer is a long-time member of the Steering Committee of The Native Plant Center. She co-founded Go Native U at Westchester Community College. Her presentation will focus on a discussion of native plants, a history of native plant gardens, why to garden with them, a brief discussion of pollinators, native plant “do’s” and challenges, what to plant and brief thoughts on the history of Little Gardens as well as future garden thoughts.

The lecture is part of the centennial celebration of the Club, which was founded April 24, 1924.

The finale will be the lighting of the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge in colors reminiscent of the Club’s Logo.
